You’ll report to a remote store manager who sets your schedule, priorities and daily tasks. Based on-site at the residence, you’ll be the hands-on presence in the store, keeping it stocked, organized and running smoothly for residents.
This is a flexible, part-time role built around delivery schedules and store needs. It’s a great fit for students who want steady, local work that fits around their classes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and unpack deliveries, check items against order details, and report any shortages or damage.
- Stock shelves and keep displays and storage areas clean and organized.
- Rotate stock using FIFO (first in, first out), check expiry dates, and flag damaged or expired products.
- Update shelf labels, pricing and promotional signage as directed.
- Assist with inventory counts and report low stock or discrepancies.
- Help set up new products, promotions and in-store events.
- Flag store or equipment concerns and share task updates or photos with the remote store manager.
- Where possible, attend the store on short notice for urgent operational needs.
Candidate Profile:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program. Current residents are encouraged to apply.
- Reliable, organized and detail-oriented, with a habit of following through on tasks.
- Comfortable working independently and keeping a remote manager updated by message or photo.
- Able to do light physical work, such as lifting boxes, unpacking deliveries and stocking shelves.
- Flexible availability that can shift week to week based on deliveries.
- Retail, grocery or inventory experience is an asset, but not required.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Invest in Yourself:
- Compensation – $17.95 per hour CAD.
- Flexible Schedule – Hours are built around delivery days and store needs, with room to work around your classes.
- Work Where You Live – The store is in your residence, so there’s no commute.
- Hands-On Experience – Build real retail skills in inventory, merchandising and store operations.
- Diverse & Inclusive Team – We celebrate diverse perspectives and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of equity and inclusion.
