Job Description
Join a team developing the analog and mixed-signal circuitry behind advanced CMOS image sensor products. You’ll take challenging circuits from architecture and transistor-level design through layout, verification, silicon bring-up, and production.
If you enjoy solving low-noise, high-speed design problems while influencing technical direction and mentoring other engineers, this role offers the opportunity to make an impact across the full development cycle.
What you’ll do
- Architect and design high-performance analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuits.
- Develop ADCs, low-noise amplifiers, bias/reference circuits, PLLs, serializers, and data drivers.
- Own simulation, verification, layout collaboration, and post-layout validation.
- Apply low-noise and high-speed layout techniques.
- Lead silicon bring-up, characterization, and hardware debug.
- Support full-chip integration and tape-out.
- Lead design reviews and mentor junior designers.
- Translate application requirements into engineering decisions and technical risk management.
- Help shape CMOS technology roadmaps and circuit innovation.
- Collaborate with system, digital, product, program, and customer-facing teams.
What you need
- Required: Strong analog design fundamentals, including noise, stability, mismatch, device physics, and reliability.
- Required: 8+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience.
- Required: Hands-on CMOS transistor-level design, simulation, and post-layout verification.
- Required: Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre.
- Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Advantage: CMOS image sensor or sensor readout experience.
- Advantage: ADC, low-noise analog front-end, and mixed-signal integration expertise.
- Advantage: Experience with LDE, EM/IR, ESD, silicon characterization, or technical leadership.
What we offer
- Meaningful work on advanced imaging technology.
- Deep, hands-on engineering challenges from circuit concept through silicon.
- Opportunities to influence technical direction and design decisions.
- Collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Technical growth through complex CMOS development and mentoring.
- The stability and engineering breadth of Teledyne Technologies.
What happens next
After you apply, the recruiting team will review your experience. Selected candidates will typically move through a recruiter screen followed by technical and team interviews. Timelines vary by role and candidate availability.
