Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Consultant role based in Kitchener, ON. The Travel Consultant will work directly with clients to understand their travel needs, provide destination and product advice, and design customized itineraries for leisure and business travel. Responsibilities include arranging flights, accommodations, tours, cruises, travel insurance, and other services, while ensuring accurate reservations and documentation. The role involves managing bookings, monitoring changes or disruptions, and resolving issues promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. The Travel Consultant will also support administrative tasks related to travel management, utilize booking systems and supplier platforms, and contribute to meeting team sales and service targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Travel Consulting and Travel Management to advise clients and oversee end-to-end trip planning.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with Travel Arrangements and Reservations, including booking transportation, accommodation, and related services in GDS or online platforms.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Candidates should possess solid organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and itineraries.
- Previous experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar travel industry role is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of major destinations, travel products, and current travel regulations and documentation requirements is an asset.
- Proficiency with travel booking software, office productivity tools, and basic sales techniques is preferred.
- Relevant education or certification in Travel and Tourism or a related field is an advantage.
